Ben Gurion Airport Fully Reopens — WTA Cargo Operations Resume
15 בApril 2026 0Uncategorized
Following 40 days of severe disruptions caused by the Iran-Israel conflict, Ben Gurion International Airport officially fully reopened on April 9, 2026. WTA Cargo is resuming full operations and is ready to handle all your air freight needs.
What Happened
Between late February and early April 2026, Ben Gurion Airport experienced unprecedented disruption as a result of regional hostilities. Most foreign carriers suspended operations, and Israeli airlines operated on emergency schedules to repatriate stranded passengers. The closure had a significant impact on air cargo capacity and supply chains across Israel.
